Atlanta Airport International Terminal (ATL)

Levels

Level 0: Arrivals and Plane Train. This level is where passengers arrive from their flights and where they can take the Plane Train to the other concourses. There are also several restaurants and shops located on this level.

Level U: Arrivals and Tunnel to E level. This level is also for arrivals and has a tunnel that connects to Concourse E.
Level 1: Daily Parking. This level has parking for short-term and daily parking.
Level 2: Departures area and ticketing. This level is where passengers check in for their flights and go through security. There are also several restaurants and shops located on this level.
Level 3: Mezzanine. This level is where most of the airport services are located, such as VIP lounges, personal services, and business services.

Concourse

The ATL Airport’s International Terminal has two concourses:

  • Concourse E: This concourse has 39 gates numbered E1 to E37. It is home to several international airlines, such as Air France, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Lufthansa, Qantas, and Virgin Atlantic.
  • Concourse F: This concourse has 12 gates numbered F1 to F14. It is home to several international airlines, such as Emirates, Etihad Airways, Korean Air, Qatar Airways, and more.

    The concourses are connected by the Plane Train, which runs 24/7. The travel time between the concourses is about 2 minutes.

There are two ways to transfer between terminals at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL):

Plane Train: The Plane Train is a complimentary automated people mover that seamlessly links the Domestic Terminal, International Terminal, and Rental Car Center. Operating around the clock, the Plane Train ensures swift travel between terminals, with an approximate 2-minute journey time. Shuttle: A complimentary shuttle service operates between the Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal, available from 5 am to 11 pm. The shuttle ride takes approximately 10 minutes. Transferring between Terminals via the Plane Train:
  1. Locate the Plane Train station, conveniently positioned in the Domestic Terminal, International Terminal, and Rental Car Center.
  2. Descend to the Plane Train level using escalators or elevators.
  3. Follow clear signage guiding you to the Plane Train platform.
  4. Board the upcoming Plane Train.
  5. Alight at your desired terminal for transfer.
Transferring between Terminals via the Shuttle:
  1. Identify the shuttle stop in the Domestic Terminal or the International Terminal.
  2. Await the shuttle’s arrival.
  3. Present your boarding pass to the driver upon boarding.
  4. Disembark at your chosen terminal for transfer.
